I’m Sophie; lover of baking, op shop crockery and my mum’s cooking. I'm the mother to two lovely boys and have been a Mangawhai local since ‘16.
I use the best quality ingredients I can find with a focus on natural and local where possible. The base for all of my regular cakes is a mix of spelt flour and ground almonds - resulting in a beautifully textured and more nutritious cake. Our free range eggs come from our favourite egg man Garrie and the citrus is picked fresh from our own trees.
Other favourites include: Equagold vanilla & cocoa, Belgian couverture dark & white chocolate, Fresh As freeze dried fruit, Viberi organic chocolate rolled blackcurrants and Nine Flowers edible petals.
